Carmelized Apple and Cheeze Sandwich

Apples and Cheeze and Bread, Oh My! This decadent grilled cheeze sandwich will rock your world and you make it over and over again. Good thing it's so quick and easy when you use our Incredibly Delicious Cashew Cheeze Spread!

 

Ingredients:

2 slices sourdough bread

2 - 3 Tablespoons Barefood'n Happy Cheezy Original Cashew Cheeze

1/2 organic Fuji apple, peeled and thinly sliced

1 1/2 teaspoons pure maple syrup

2 Tablespoons avocado oil or vegan butter

 

Directions:

Add 1 Tablespoon of the oil or butter to a small skillet. Add the apple slices and cook over medium-high heat, until well browned. Flip the apples slices and drizzle them with the maple syrup. Allow the apples to brown on the second side. Remove the apples from the skillet and wipe the skillet clean. Butter one side of each slice of bread with remaining oil or vegan butter. Place the bread, butter side down, in a heated skillet. Top the bread with cashew cheeze spread, the carmelized apple slices and the 2nd slice of bread, butter side up. Cook over medium heat until browned. Flip carefully, and cook the other side of the sandwich until browned. Remove from heat and serve immediately. ENJOY!
